I am passionate about mental health awareness in the workplace through my career experience as I have over 25 years’ experience of working directly in mental health care to benefit both clients and staff.
The link between mental wellbeing and organisational success is enormous. It’s not only mental health conditions that are impacting business but also work place stress.
Businesses should not only aim to reduce mental health difficulties but also encourage positive mental health throughout the organisation.
I present bespoke workshops and training courses on mental health awareness in the workplace, stress and resilience for employees and resilience for leadership for thriving teams. I also provide 1:1 session with individuals experiencing stress, anxiety or depression symptoms.
I possess unique experience and knowledge of work place stress due to my observing and experiencing a serious workplace incident, the antecedent being solely work place stress which lead to an entire management team making high risk and catastrophic decisions leading to a devastating outcome.
I am perfectly placed to speak about stress in the work place, the impact on the establishment and employees. This enables me to give a personal powerful presentation on the cost of workplace stress to individuals and the business in a way participant can connect with.
Not only do I skilfully and supportively cover very emotive subjects such as depression and suicide in my mental health workshop I am able to respectfully, and where appropriate incorporate my special and unique humour and feel good factor into our sessions to provide a high level of professional training giving our learner a positive empowering experience.
